I'm not sure that the wrist band falls in the same category as shirts and shorts. After all most of us wear white socks, and many shirts now have white accents. I think it is going to come down to the preferences of the individual referee at the competition you compete in. If you know who the referee is going to be you could ask in advance and get their opinion before the competition date. That would be the safest way to know how to prepare. I think you will find that either he won't allow it or will allow it until/unless someone complains. In which you will need to have an alternative available, either a towel or dark wrist bands.
