Sardius is faster. Primorac is a bit thinner and better for looping.

Is Primorac good for looping close to the table or mid distance?

Firstly, Primorac and Sardius are NOT made in Japan, anymore.
So if you are going to buy a new blade, I recommend you buying a Japanese Boll T5000.
I haven't used Sardius, I'm using Primorac, I like it very much.
It's better for mid distance looping. Arylate-Carbons are better for close to the table looping.

I don't know. I've seen some new Primorac Carbon and I didn't like the quality.

I've heard some of the Butterfly blades are made in Hungary.

Primorac is good (not great) for looping mid distance and for hitters close. Unless you have a pure power oriented game I would select a blade in the OFF class not OFF+. More spin will be generated on a slower blade for close table play and mid distance.
