Need a little help understanding which rubber I should try. Just looking to try something different on my forehand. My style is definitely offensive but more spin oriented than speed. Right now I am using commercial H3 Neo on my Tibhar Stratus Powerwood.
For the most part I like the H3N. But the tackiness is kind of a plus and a minus for me. Seems like it is pretty unforgiving. If I don't have my stroke just right with the perfect blend of upward force and forward drive, the ball either buries in the net or sails off the table. Buried in the net more common for me. Now I understand that better technique is probably the real issue here, so advice to correct this would also be appreciated. But nobody's form is perfect every day. So I am looking for a FH rubber that is a little more user friendly. Right now I am thinking of trying Xiom Vega Europe. Is this a good place to start? Or should I just bite the bullet and get a sheet of Tenergy 05FX? Is that you much off a newer player? Just want something that will produce more of a rainbow shaped shot. Is this referred to as higher throw angle? Please educate me |

I would have to imagine Vega Pro might be an easier transition than Vega Europe. Vega Pro has a harder sponge than Vega Europe. Pro is softer than any Hurricane though.
As far as the throw angle goes, yes it's technically higher but it's important to note that Eurojap rubbers have a different type of trajectory to their throw angles than Chinese rubbers do. Chinese rubbers have a flatter more forward trajectory and Eurojap rubbers have a taller arc. The Vega series is excellent to learn and adapt to these new differences and the different type of stroke required from you. Once you advance in your skill level you can upgrade to one of the Omega 5 rubbers or if you prefer a more medium-low throw angle, Sigma 2. |

Thanks General. Was gonna get a sheet of Vega Euro for BH anyway. Vega Pro sounds like a good option for FH.
Are there other rubbers that produce that higher arc shape? |

May be Palio THOR'S, or Omega 4 asia or 5 pro, I think them like H3 with tensor sponge :)

tibhar genius + tibhar genius optimum plus. having an all tibhar set up wouldn't hurt and these rubbers are proven to be very good

I might be in the US, but I am still all german heritage. So playing an all german set up is right in my glockenspiel. Was thinking Genius Sound would have been my pick though.

C...
You are a candidate for Tibhar Aurus or any modern offensive control rubber like the other you mentioned Xiom Omega IV / Vega
Neither rubber costs top dollar.
