I have a darker 5p-2a (3 ply hinoki, 2 "power wood") that is quite fast and has the most solid feeling among my blades when hitting hard (i test outside opponents power range by putting prakttismate up into 6 + above)
Stiga tube offensive is quite fast, stiff, with good feeling. |

I used to use a vsg2000, was very fast all wood 7 ply, now i use the 7 ply stiga clipper wood, it's good for looping and control, reasonable speed too

theman, Mother company of Xiom is Champion and this Co has been in besiness for more than 50 years in Korea. They were the one who supplied competition ball during 1988 Olympic TT game. I am using both Champion and Peace (both Korean) balls and these are really good!! You need to try out... and I am trying to get the XIOM maximus Off+ from either Korea or Taiwan, because I could not find any dealers in US (and this is confirmed with Champion Co)

Nvr tried that Xiom Maximus OFF, but if u do the Maths, $ for $ or even pound for pound or gram for gram, in very economical sense, I'd pick PKorbel but it must be one which is less than 90g. Too bad Xiom Maximus don't come in Anatomic handle and also its ST handle looks pretty "FAT"...but then again I could be wrong. Too bad Alfie doesn't live across the Street or a block from me, otherwise I could've asked him to lend it to me for a few hits.

Fraziel... I think it would be depend on you... the blade must fit on your style and pattern of play... if you are asking my opinion.. I would say... Kreanga Carbon blade without the coating and the other will be Xiom Maximus Off+

i know what it means to me, i wanted to know what it meant to the poster of this topic as he has not said. i agree though that its very subjective. for me its a samsonov alpha as its soft and has decent controllable speed with a solid well made feel.

How is the alpha blade?
Does it have vibrations or is stiff? How is far from the table? Do you speed glue or not? I'm thinking into buying one but I'm not sure yet. Thanks. |
