==Beginner alert!==
Just to preface this, I am in the process of finding coaching locally who knows and has coached short pips players before. I do play at a club and am searching there first, although word around is that there may not be someone with SP coaching experience? ===== I've been reading pipfacts.info and many other resources but am trying to clean up my forehand drive stroke. I feel it has still much of a "rolling" or a mini-brush motion, albeit I can get a fair decent offensive pace to it. By combining this stroke with timing the hit at the top of the bounce or earlier, I feel I get a pretty decently paced stroke but when I watch videos of myself doing it, it doesn't seem right to me? I was watching a Jiang Jia Liang video where his drive stroke looks to be a lot of forearm snap. I tried emulating this stroke, and wanted to know if it was predominantly forearm moving, and my upper arm/bicep doesn't really swing much into the motion? This certainly feels odd to me and I probably won't be able to add this into any scenario outside of drills at the moment, but is this the right approach? If so I can at least then try to reconstruct my stroke... Also, I have a video of me trying various strokes in process. I have to cut and upload it so I hope to have it available sometime soon. Thanks for reading.
