I want know that pips rubbers are good for chopblocking , push , and normal block close to the table on BH. I not want to chop near table again because my chop too high ( easy for my opponent to hit my chop )
Now I use Tibhar COS 3 and Grass D.tecs OX. D.tecs too fast for me. Maybe I need more practice or buy another LP ? I read Curl P-H , Hellfire , Curl P3a good for chopblocking My game is of attack on FH and defense on BH (chopblocking). Sorry for bad English Edited by felixchrissandy - 04/15/2016 at 4:45am |

I don't think you need a new rubber but for the style you mention, 1.2mm sponge is way too thick for close to the table. That is why it seems too fast. Simply remove the sponge from your DTecs and play with it OX. You will be amazed at the difference. To remove the sponge, simply place a sheet of paper over the sponge (with the pimples facedown) and apply a hot iron to the paper. The glue holding the sponge to the topsheet will melt and then you can gently pull it off. Be careful the topsheet does not get stuck together or bunched up. Keep a sheet of hard plastic or a rubber protector sheet nearby so you can stick the topsheet to it to keep it flat. Good luck!

Giant Dragon Dragon Talon National Team!! That's what I'm using and I love it! Especially on a balsa blade, that rubber is perfect for blocking close to the table.

OP said he used OX version. Anyway, try Dragon Talon or Joola Badman Reloaded, both are the slower version of DTecs

A slower version of Long Pips by Giant Dragon is Cropcircles which is good for chop blocking, seems to have better control than my friends DtecS, both in OX. It depends on which style you want to play. Watch some of the latest PushBlocker videos at YouTube. .... Edited by LUCKYLOOP - 04/15/2016 at 3:35pm |

Is the Talon a hard pip? I use Scylla Sword OX. It's good for chop blocking and hitting. |

Is Scylla as soft as Neptune? Talon is softer than Neptune (like 37.5 to 48.0).

I haven't used many other LP's, but I'm told that the Sword is a hard pip. |

You need to buy GD online (cole, tt-store ....). I believe most of us do the same as well.

woops! i went by his signature. still stand by what I say. COS 3 is not a fast blade. DTecs is not too fast a rubber for it either as it has great braking once you learn to play with it.

I recently started to explore blocking off the bounce (if done well it drives opponents mad) - Defplay with Dornenglanz OX seem to work pretty well, requires practice and touch.

One of my club, he uses Dawei 388D ox . This version has very long pip. He chopblock close to table and make really hard to return the ball.
