I think my skills are still considered as a beginner, or maybe a little intermediate. I am using Butterfly Senkoh Max, Stiga Optimum MP fh and Xiom Zeta Europe bh. After awhile i wanted to get more spin and speed, so I changed my fh to Yasaka Rising Dragon Max. Then after I let my experienced friend tried it, he mentioned that the blade is too heavy, and it is very difficult to fully utilize the blade. And the weight of rubber is unbalanced (i only noticed when he mentioned, my fh is too heavy). Also, since it is a thick blade, it is more on the defensive or chopper style. I'm an allrounder or abit offensive player, so I tried to be a chopper, and it is very tough with DHS cloud and fog on bh (im still a beginner so i guess Im not there yet). He suggest me to get a new blade to improve my play.

After getting suggestions and doing some research, i came up with these "guidelines"
(please correct me if im wrong)
-Use tacky rubber on fh to suit the current 40+ plastic ball
-use non tacky on bh for smash (bat flip)
-use softer rubber for bh
-the weight of rubber must be balance

And I planned to get this combination:
-Stiga Infinity VPS V Blade
-Hurricane 3/3.5/8 FH
-Stiga Calibra Tour M BH

What do you think about these combination? Can I get some comments about this? Thanks :)

Don't get too hung up about what rubbers, get some coaching first
rather than going from med/fast backhand , chopping backhand too faster backhand,
while going midrange forehand all the time

Thanks for the suggestion. I know.that but the blade is abit heavy and its hard for me to do the strokes correctly, so I might need to get a lighter bat

I think your planned setup will be a big improvement from what you are using. For the BH rubbers, list a few more rubbers that are within the same price range, and are available to you. other forum member maybe able to help you select a better rubber. I am not very knowledgeable on rubber, but the Stiga Tour is a very low throw rubber (even for BH), you need to engage the top sheet to have any grip on the ball. It's not an easy rubber to play with, specially for beginner. Good luck.

Butterfly Senkoh Max is a 1-ply Hinoki blade, which is quite heavy and fast so I would not call it defensive in the first place. You are also switching from LP on BH (Cloud and Fog) to double inverted, so I want to make sure you understand what lies ahead - you'll need to re-learn your BH strokes.

Do you have opportunity to try other player's bats? Might be easier to do it that way.

I know that, and I find it tough, playing a backhand flick is still more fun. So I dont know should I try the combination I posted.
