Hi Everyone,

I'm working on improving my reverse pendulum backspin serve (shakehand grip).

My question is when you're doing the backswing, should your handle be resting on top of your forearm? or should it be under the forearm?

It seems like it will be easier to get under the ball to get backspin if the handle is under the forearm as it lets you get the racket more horizontal, but I can't seem to hit it properly that way.

I looked up pro videos and it seems like most of them are doing it with the handle above the forearm, but some do it below as well. Is there a "right" way of doing it?

Above the forearm is more common, but it is possible to serve with handle below the forearm as well. In TT, if anything is leading to success for you at the level you want to play, you can do it, so do whichever one works for you.
I like putting heavy topspin on the ball...
