   So I finally got my new paddle setup! Samsonov Alpha + OmegaIV Euro + Rakza7! I practiced some loops with it today, and I'm getting adjusted to it. Definitely faster and spinnier than what I had before, but I didn't feel any less control with my slower previous setup. Not long after hitting some back and forth, my partner wanted to play a few matches before he left for home.
Most of the game, he would serve with heavy backspin (off his H3!), and I found myself struggling a lot with chopping back. His backspin is too hard for me to flick/loop back at the moment, so I always find myself chopping back. The  Rakza 7 side pushes back the ball like darts, and I found myself hitting the net or simply missing the table. Granted, this is my first day with the rubber, but I sometimes get obsessed about these sort of things, especially when things don't work as they seem, so I am contemplating how to handle this aspect of the game.

In the past, I would push just off the bounce and I would be able to lob it over short. Heck, the previous Gambler paddle was very forgiving when it came to backspin. It killed some spin as it returned. It seems the Rakza returns the favor instead of absorbing some of the force, and it also returns back at a sharper angle. I'm looking for some advice on how to handle heavy backspin with my new rubbers. I know at least, that I tend to play closer to the table when chopping, so I might stop hugging the table when chopping, but I'm still not sure about the short game. Any advice? Thanks!
