    Posted: 10/26/2016 at 3:45am
Hi all,

I need some advice and hope someone can help me out :)

I'm a 2 wing looper and my game is controlled offensive, relying more on spin and placement rather than speed. Playing TT for over 25 years and currently at a decent regional level.

Recently I'm using WSC JO Shape and I like this blade. Put Acuda Blue P2 2.0mm bothsides. My experience with the P2 on this blade, is that it's throw is kinda low. On BH I can do everything with it, from slow to agressive blocks and from dropshot right behind the net to fast paced loops. FH is way different though. Nearly all slow topspins land in the net and when I open my blade a bit more, the are too long and land behind the table. Pushes are often long too. Conslusion: I want to replace the P2 on my FH.

Hope you guys (and girls) can offer some suggestions for a rubber:
  • Medium+ to high throw
  • Medium- to soft (sponge can be firm, just as long as topsheet is soft)
  • Decent speed (but no speeddemon)
  • Good control
  • Less sensitive to incoming spin
  • No extreme catapult

I'm not even sure if such rubber exists :)

No chinese rubbers and rather no BTY.

Thanks in advance for your suggestion(s).

Sounds like the Tibhar Evolution EL-S would suit you for controlled offense. Great control, less sensitivity to spin relative to other rubbers, Immense spin think equal or greater than T05 spin, decent speed, low catapult. Throw is medium. The only part that doesn't fit your requirements is the fact that it's a medium rubber, medium hard top sheet and medium sponge if I remember right.

Vega Japan (medium sponge and soft topsheet) or Vega Asia (firm sponge with soft topsheet).

I use Rakza X. It has a soft top sheet, medium sponge, med throw. Not as bouncy as tenergy and feels linear in speed.

Be careful...

'Xiom Sigma I Pro' is no longer on the ITTF Approved Racket Coverings List...

Thanks for all the responses. Vega Japan is worth a try , as I read some positive reviews of this rubber.
Going to check out a couple of reviews about the others rubbers suggested. Not sure about Sigma 2 as this one might be a bit too fast.

This weekend I'm going to try Rakza 7 Soft  (max) which I got from a friend. Will let you know what I think about this one.

I know a good local player with the same game style. His BH is also P2 Smile but on FH is Nittaku Galze. He stated his racket is magical Big smile
