I'm currently using Joola Tango Ultra (red 2.0/2.1) and am wondering what short pips might be similar. The Joola has horizontally arranged pips, similar size and shape to 802-40 but a bit softer, with a soft tensor sponge and is labeled as made in Germany.

I'm wondering whether the Andro Revolution C.O.R. pips, the Nittaku Moristo SP or the Xiom Styx SP are similar in construction. To my knowledge all the pips are made in Germany and have a tensor sponge.

I'm not interested in vertically arranged pips (like Raystorm, Hammond FA, Spectol, Clippa, T-Original, Speedy Soft) as they have a higher throw angle than my Joola pips and don't suit my current blade as well.

I also realize that 802-40 is similar to the Tango Ultra but I prefer the Joola's sponge and it's lighter weight to the 802-40's more variable sponge -- and yes, I've tried a custom sponge with the 802-40 and it's better but not the same as the Joola Tango Ultra.
