When designing a blade, what is the maximum thickness a composite material (such as carbon) be?
And does it matter if that is separated by wood, or all put together? Say you were creating a blade with 2 different speeds... could you combine all of the max, allowable carbon on one side of the blade and leave the other half with natural wood?

Basically, if your total thickness is 4.66mm, then your composite layers are at 0.3495mm @ 7.5% total, the maximum thickness allowed. Take the Viscaria for example, its total thickness is 5.7mm, then the composite layers at max are 0.3477mm @6.1% total. You can have any number of layers of composite material so long as they are within the above limits. Edited by zeio - 09/26/2018 at 3:06am |

Viscaria FL - 91g
+ Neo H3 2.15 Blk - 44.5g(55.3g uncut bare) + Hexer HD 2.1 Red - 49.3g(68.5g 〃 〃) = 184.8g |
