Nice Alex, but i have a question, is Xiao Han different from Han Xiao, i thought that s just the difference in name calling between Chinese and American.

Yes, it is just the difference in name calling between Chinese and American. In Chinese, last name is called before first name. For Xiao Han, his last name is Xiao and first name is Han.

I love Ding Ying. So skilled.

Best defender I've seen with my own eye so far.

Gao Xi and Ding Ying were from China national women's team, now they are studying in Peking University.

Former world champions Liang Geliang (56 years old) and Liu wei are the coaches in Peking Univeristy Founder Table Tennis Club. The club is one of the China Super League clubs. They have been hosting summer training camps for public during July-August every year. Ms. Liu Wei is the general manager of this club.

2008 Olympic Games table tennis venue will be in Peking University.

Ma Lin and Wang Hao have also been accepted to study in Peking Univeristy starting this September. Because they are busy on international competitions, so they will spend up to 8 years to finish their study in PKU for bachelor degrees.

FYI.

Sorry, they are still in the China national women's team. They have been in the national team for about 6-7 years.

Another national team member Sun Jin has also joined Peking University Founder Table Tennis Club this year to play in the China Super League.

Congratulations Alex Li and the PKU teams!   I'll hopefully see the team and coaches on Sunday at AlphaTT in Los Angeles for the exhibition matches (I think it's still going on, I just emailed Diego and Wei Wang to confirm.) It will be nice to see everyone from the summer training camp!

Thanks phrixion!

Yes, the PKU team is leaving for Los Angeles tomorrow (12/2) and will stay there until Tuesday (12/5). There will be exhibition matches there on Sunday.

But I have already left the team and returned Toronto. And Ms. Liu Wei has also left the team and returned China for the ITTF Tournament of Champions. She will commentate on the TV broadcasting of the event.

Thanks for the information. Diego emailed me back and the exhibition matches start at 6PM SUNDAY at Alpha Table Tennis in Los Angeles (www.alphatt.com). That's too bad we won't get to see you and Ms. Liu Wei.
