Hi Everyone,
I recently ordered some TSP Spectol Red short pips from TTnpp but the packaging seems a bit different compared to the packaging mostly seen on other websites like Megaspin. If you notice on the bottom left it's missing the "Yamato Takkyu CO.,LTD." words. I was wondering if anyone had packaging like this before and if maybe this is just an old packaging model of the actual pips and they are indeed real?

Looks right to me.
I can read Victas on it. Enjoy your rubber.

I'm not quite sure. I just found it odd how the packaging was missing those words. I was thinking maybe it could be an old model similar to how butterfly changed the packaging for their tenergy rubbers.

Spectol Red is not so popular to be faked , I got one butterfly pip that had a diffrent sponge and it lasted less |

I think it's fine. But I don't use that rubber. Maybe give it a try and see how it feels? If it feels okay, I'm sure it's good :) I do see other packages like that online, but they were sold second hand or on auction sites.

Rest assured.
They decided to change the company name from Yamato Takkyu to their brand name Victas in Japan in 2017. I was going to write a post but thought who cared. Latest news is Victas will phase out the TSP brand name in 2021. Production of TSP products will cease at the end of this month(10/2020). They plan to renew popular TSP products under the Victas brand. Check link below. https://www.victas.com/ja_jp/info/related_news/corporate/important_news/2020/10/20-12-17 |
