Is this suitable for backhand rubber of shakehand holder? I play chinese style of near table but do drive whenever I have the opportunity.

If you can handle Hammond on the forhand, Energy would be perfect for the backhand. It is slower than Hammond but very spinny. I don't find it too bouncy to block with, even with Max , just a little higher throw than Hammond.

Well, I'm not sure (hookshot, where are you ?). I tried it before xmas and was very disapointed. I felt it was very "mushy" but still very fast, soft but springy, high and long looping ark. After 2 hours of hard try, I couldn't put more than 2 loops in a row on the table. Then I lend it to a young club mate who found in love with it and was playing as never before with it. He begged me to sell it to him, that I did. That is to say, it is surely a very good rubber but not for everyone...

Hi jcdi,
Compared to Hammond, the throw is higher, but not as high as say 999 series and lots lower than most tacky types.
First time I tried it, I knew it was my new rubber. You are right about not for everybody, same as All rubbers. My loops are better with this than any other.
I am in the north west, you ever play in Washington or Oregon?
I have a sheet of Energy on another bat that I glue and it is even better. I dont use it in tournements, just an experiment to see how long it will last. (not supposed to glue tensors)
I am using a Joola Carbon Pro which is slower than they advertize. Think I will try it on a faster bat next.

i think jcdi describes it as mushy because the topsheet is soft and its so attached to the sponge, if that makes much sense! but the thing is the sponge is not actually that soft (42.5 degree hardness, which increases speed too) its like when u take a shot u get the best of the whole rubber instead of some rubbers which have hard topsheets and soft sponge for example. I love it just got one a week ago best rubber ive used, easy to spin with too and good feeling.
