Hi all,
Being a BH Short Pips user, I've noticed that if I use too light short pips, that will reduce the head heaviness and will consequently have bad impact on the momentum and power (as well as control and accuracy) of my FH strokes. Are there any really heavy short pips to counteract this problem? Using multiple layers of a thick edge tape is not the same. A heavier blade could be a solution, but I'm already using quite a heavy blade (92g) and the blades I'm after (bty ALC) are particularly difficult to find in very heavy weight (95+).

The heaviest short pips that I have tried are Spinlord's Waran 2 (cut to 158x151 mm are 40g if memory serves me right. I plan to review them shortly.

Wouldn't changing the sp change your bh stroke? Cause heavier sp probably means denser and harder sponge, this will for sure impact your bh strokes.
I remember spectol speed is quite heavy but also a rock to play with! A wacky thing you could try is to put baby oil on your sponge, I think with oil based boosters the more you boost the heavier the rubber gets as it absorbs the oil.

I don't recommend selecting your SP rubber based on light weight because it's simple enough to add weight to you blade with a strip of lead tape under your edge tape Tennis Racket Lead Tape Foil. You can double- and even triple-layer it to get the needed total racket weight. You can also change the balance of your racket by putting more on sides/none at the tip, etc.

Doesn’t seem to be a major concern according to this:

As the Amazon.com listing rightly stated, WARNING: THIS PRODUCT CONTAINS CHEMICALS, INCLUDING LEAD. PLEASE WASH YOUR HANDS AFTER HANDLING. Follow that, and cover the lead tape with edge tape, and I think the risk is minimal.

DHS 651 at 2.2 feels pretty heavy for me, but then again my bat weighs over 120g. I really enjoy it though I feel like I can let the weight of the bat do the work especially for blocks etc.
