For those who like to play Tenergy 05, but do not like to pay for the price of it.
Here is a formula to make one.

1. Buy Cheap Chinese rubber for $15, maximum $20. (729 is very good in terms of durance)

2. Slap on 3 layers of Booster glue. Allow at least 24 hours for each layer to expand and shrink. (So total 3 days for 3 layers of Booster blue)

3. Slap on 2 layers of sealant (wood finish varnish) on your blade. Allow at least 3 hours for each layer to dry and settle. For the first layer, apply a very thin coat only. You can add thicker coats of sealant after the first layer. Use a fine painting brush, and avoid brushing many times over. The trick is to make an even surface of the sealant on the blade.

4. Beat the rubber hard by long-distance looping or smacking with table tennis balls to soften the Chinese tackiness. Allow minimum of 5 days for this beating. Add more days, if you have not played with Chinese rubbers before. Don't rush into playing games just yet.

5. Enjoy. Re-apply booster after 3 or 6 months, but optional only.

P.S You may like to skip Step4 Sealant if you like, but I found the sealant works very effectively against the new 40-plus ball. In other words, the 40-plus ball is "scared" of sealant blade.

My apology with the P.S. It should read, you may skip Step 3 Sealant, not Step 4.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Not so wank, until you buy a fake Provincial/National Chinese rubber, scratching your head with wtf.

somehow i thought this was a joke post. like trolling for the laughs considering the amount of heat there has been regarding tenergy vs. hurricane battle. oh well, if you are serious, then i will leave you to it.

You forgot Step 7: post instructions to forum so everyone knows you're comfortable breaking the rules.

And Step 8: engage in long and heated discussion because it really is ok to break the rules.

To paraphrase Zeio from the previous thread:
If you're not playing tournaments, just use speed glue and save yourself a lot of time and hassle.

This sounds really funny. Is there any method to reduce the needed time of beating the rubber? I am thinking about using an air hammer for example....so there could be variations
05 minutes usage of the air hammer = T05?
10 minutes usage of the air hammer = T80 FX?
If you use the hammer well maybe it is possible to even get the Tenergy font and the Butterfly Wings into shape? If you copy the package of the Tenergy Rubbers you could even sell them with high margin as a Pro-Version
Seriously, if you can Play with that rubber after you modified it everything is fine and there nothing is nothing wrong about it but it is very hard to imagine you can get any Close results each time after your described process.

seems like someone on alibaba already figured this out. remember the $30 tenergy on ebay (on taobao/alibaba for $10)
