Confused Nittaku has 3 Tenaly blades: Tenaly Original, Tenaly Carbon and the Tenaly Acoustic.
[Quote = Nittaku]The origin of the word Tenaly means it becomes the hand. This handle is designed ergonomically to make the blade an extension of the player, for the most natural angle of wrist, hand, and forearm to the head of the blade. The curve of the handle to one side is very comfortable and effective for the penhold grip as well as the shakehands grip....etc. etc...

So what does Tenaly have to do with the Violin or Acoustic?

Nittaku Tenaly Acoustic is the top of the all Tenalies bcuz it's built just like the ways both the Nittaku Acoustic and Violin are built. Only the "weird handle" is different. Materials, woods and glue are probably the same.

I thought Ma Long used the Acoustic.  The Nittaku website says he uses the Violin.

For some reason, i feel Accoustic is better with Chinese rubbers (FH) than any non chinese rubbers

The way you hit chinese rubbers and other non chinese rubbers are different, that is why when i tried Tenergy 05 FH on my Accoustic is still hard to like it

It's totally my own opinion......

Apparently Ma Long thinks the tradeoff is worth it. And so do many others.

The only advantage is that Violin has a penhold, and Acoustic doesnt have one yet?

acoustic does have the penhold version too...
i have both violin and acoustic penhold

It is perfect match for looping style. If you do a lot of smashing, it may not be the best.

He used to use violin when he was junior, then changed to acoustic. Now he doesn't even use that acoustic.

If anyone is interested . . . I just received a new Nittaku Violin. I lightly sealed it and decided to pass on this great deal. I just have too many of them and can only carry 4 or 5 back to China. $123 shipped to USA.
