Please check out http://www.americanHinoki.com
You can see sample of blades sent to customers
in the "in-work" section, and blade reviews in the
"review" section.

Also have info on the various wood I use.

If you have any questions please email.

Thanks

I am currently making rubber presses and blades are on the horizon I'm waiting to see what kind of Hinoki or POC wood the supplier can get.  A balsa 3 ply is currently in the works, just trying to configure a handle.

Do not know outside the US, but inside there is also Visse:

http://castldine.tripod.com/table_tennis/

He has good prices and some members really liked his creations.

I am not sure, but I thought I saw one thread at some point (could not find it now by searching) that mentioned something about an untrustworthy maker, which I thought it was Jack Miller. I hope someone remembers better and tell us whether the discussion was about him or someone else...

His Excalibur blade is nice and his zebra wood handles remain grippy even with sweaty hands.  The zebra wood is a hard wood that feels slippery at first but gets better with a little moisture.  Search the about.com forum for more info on Jack and his blades.  I don't believe anyone there posted anything negative about him or his blades.

Ok, then forget I even said that, I just do not remember who the past comments of untrustworthiness were for...

By the way, does anybody know who makes the "best of 5" blades? One Swiss friend of mine used to have a couple, one of which I played with and was pretty nice...

Thats good to know about the zebra wood.  I really like this wood it has a lot of character.  Seems like my handle is going to come together sooner than I thought.

www.oldstiga.hu makes custom blades. ask PLLSYSTEM on this forum. The woods used  to make these blade are supposed to be the same as the old stiga wood veneers.

I do believe that the past discussion here was about Jack.  He has, or at least had a few customers at the about.com forum, and most with his Excalibur blade (his most popular the last I heard) were extremely happy and satisfied with the product and service.  He may still pop his head into the about site so check there and ask around, I'm sure someone will know more than what I can give. There are a handful of forum members there that are a wealth of knowledge also - it's worth asking about Jack there.  I also think there is a link at the forum through the international equipment dealers to his website.
