I am thinking of putting my new rubber on with speedglue, and it may not be used for a week or 2. I don't care about the speedglue effect right now, just wanted to get the rubber on the blade. Yes, I could wait till I know when I'll be playing next, but I can't wait any longer to put the rubber on. I am a very impatient man.

If I put the rubber on 1st with only speedglue, am I doing this wrong?

Should I put on regular rubber cement glue 1st? THEN speedglue?

Seems like i only put the speedsglue on another blade quite a while back................. thanks

If the blade is varnished or has some sort of special slick coating, you may need to use a coat of rubber cement on the rubber first (then the speedglue) to get it to stick.  Otherwise, if you can get the rubber to stick with the speedglue, that is fine.

Should be fine, just use 2-3 coats of speed glue on the rubber and one good layer on the blade and wait a few hours (or overnight) for the dome to go down completely before sticking. It works just as well.
