I'm a fairly close-to-the-table attacking looper from both sides. I don't speed glue. I've heard that Sriver FX is meant to be used with speed glue. If so, that leaves EL and standard.
Any recommendations?
Thanks!

All Srivers are faster with speed glue. I suggest you glue during official tournaments.

Best unglued sriver:
For flat shots:1.Sriver EL, 2.Sriver FX ,3.Sriver
For looping:1.Sriver ,2.Sriver FX , Sriver EL.

Generaly speaking , Sriver FX needs glue more than the other two  Srivers.

I stick with G2-FX, its pretty fast. Do you use a Jp, Cpen, or Shakehand?
If you're using Jp, then u probably want to use a sriver that doesnt have High tension

EL too slow without glue on a typical OFF- blade. Sriver L much better as it has the basic speed required.

Of course if you don't have strong enough strokes to use Sriver L then EL will give you that bit of looping help and then you can graduate.

Normal Sriver L works better for me on a five ply wooden blade. I use EL on the backhand, since I need more leeway on my backhand.

Avoid Max thickness.

G2 FX should be the one that doesn't require speed glue - try it and compare it with the speed-glued FX, then you will be in a position to make a good decision.

Thanks for the initial feedback, everyone.

To answer some questions: My grip is shake hands, my blade is Butterfly H.S. Cryzer (Off+, all Hinoki wood). I prefer a loop drive backhand more than a spinny loop, same for forehand.

MAte, where do you come from. unless you're a close to the table player but if i were you, max is the best. its the fastest anyway. the thin ones dont have enough impact
