HI,
I have decided to try out shakehand, as my opponent said I played bette when I did, than when I was playing penhold.
If I were to go shakehand, and rubbers/blades people can recommend to me, for penhold, I was going to get the gatien extra, Mark V for forehand, and then LKT Pro XT for backhand.
My style of play is to attack, a lot of the time with my backhand, however I do push quite a lot, and even sometimes chop, not just the odd shot, but for whole rallies, or even games, even though I tend to attack.
Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks

That sounds like a good equipment setup.  If you really have your mind set on changing over like that just make sure you get your skills and techniques finely tuned enough to get to where you want to be.

Yeah, well at the moment, all I have is a premade, Dunlop 'SPIN@ bat, and so I was wondering, would that equipment be too fast?
Also, I am not attack, attack, attack, i play fairly allround, as in I do not hit every ball with lots of spped/spin, but I prefer to attack than defend, and I wont attack every single ball I can either..... (if that makes any sense)

Thanks

well if you put up a video it would be easier to decide which rubber. on your backhand hurricane series or skyline series are a good allround rubber. hard spinny but not fast if not glued up. when new hurricane is REALLY sticky. you can put a ball on it and turn it upside down and it will still stick to the rubber

Hi,
Thanks, I will try to get a video up.
Also, I am not intent on spending too much, as this is my first 'real' table tennis bat, and so was wondering what are some of the cheaper good/averagely good rubbers/ blades.
I have been looking at http://www.presports.com - www.presports.com  (pound sterling)
Some of the rubbers on there seem cheap, however the blades are too exspensive, and are too fast for me ( i think), I have also looked at the allround 40, can anyone give me any feedback about this blade?
Or could anyone recommend any good website for me to get the stuff off of?
I am intending not to spend more than 40

Thanks

Thanks,
Also, does anyone know how much import tax and stuff I may have to pay?
Also, how would the Hurrucane compare to either of my choices for rubbers?
Thanks
