I'm about to buy a cpen, but IDK how I should put the FH rubber on. Very good advice PingPangQiu! I always do the same. I grip my blade and make a mark so when I glue my rubber it will not touch my fingers. I have an unortodox method to do this. I'll try to explain step by step.
1 - I mark a line exactly 15mm above the end of the grip.
  2 - I use a plastic shape previously cut in the shape of my blade. It can be made of a cover of some paste. This shape is also marked 15mm for my forehand rubber. For my backhand ruber I use the entire shape.
 3 - I mark the rubber with a ball pen.
 4 - Cut it with good scissors.
 5 - And the rubber is ready to be glued onto blade.
 I see a good thing in this method. As far as I like to play with some edges of rubber (bigger than the blade), when I apply glue the rubber expands a little becoming bigger and exactly the size I like. ------------- Phenom st/BW3/Ω3Euro ● Photino st/Ω4Pro/R7S ● Speed 90 fl/Vega Euro/S3 |

hi
i tried cutting it shorter like that. but i find the paddle rather too fast and loose control. so be sure you have the right weight as shorter rubber might affect play. ------------- manluski |

yes i do. not much difference from shakehand. too me a couple of days to adjust. rbh is great with my kind of grip. i don't have elbow pains anymore. one of the benefits of cpen.
i am still adjusting though as i just place an order for the dhs hao. should get is early next week. i am currently using modified shake hand paddles. ------------- manluski |

for me it is. it depends on what you are used to. why don't you cover have your paddle with rubber and play with it vs if it is covered fully. tell me if weight does not make a difference. i will believe your statement and findings after this test. ------------- manluski |

Weight is a big issue for me. as soon as I use blade over 80 grams, my arm starts to ache.

thanks for the link to pingpong only. i got the hurricane hao today and played with it and it was fantastic. very fast. much better than what i expected. i got it in less than 3days. can't wait to try out the hurricane king as soon as i get some reviews on it.
by the way, in refrence to weight. i think weight distribution is what i really mean. so cutting rubber too short might affect wight distrution and affect playing properties.
on you question about finger placement. i think it depends on if you are using rbh or not with the cpen.
i use rbh and place my thumb and index finger loosly around in the front sometimes touching each other. my 3 other fingers are behind with the tips touching the rubber. i get ache and pains around these 3 little fingers after prolonged play though.
if you are not using the rbh. then the other way will apply and the 3 fingers at the back are resting on back in curled fashion. ------------- manluski |
