YES, I finally joined the BBC, that is the Borko Blade Club.
I sold my Violin-CPEN and asked Borko to make a blade just for me . . . and he did a FABULOUS job. This fine masterpiece is everything I ever wanted a blade to feel like in my hand, and it's damn cute too! I just finished sealing it and will put a Venus or Sriver on it tomorrow, then smack the ball around on Sunday. I know this baby will sing for me. My goddess weighs in at 78 grams of pure joy. If it hits half as good as it looks and feels I will be pawning my g/f's necklaces and begging Borko to make a mate for this lovely little vixen!
THANK YOU BORKO! You may have designed and created a mixed blessing for me. Why mixed? Simple! I fear that after I hit with it I will hang my head in shame for wasting all my hard-earned money on expensive factory pressed "instruments."
You are the true craftsman!
With total respect,
Tommy Zai

Geeze Tommy, Don't tell the master you are sealing it! LOL I think each week, you should add another coat of Poly and see when you can see the difference.

Congratulations! Assuming that you like her - will you marry her for good? Or still have casual experiences with other blades once a week?

Tommy - Congrats on your new Borko blade. Are you going to stop calling yourself the unstoppable EJ madman from now on? Do let us know how your new Borko blade plays after you try it out. Enjoy! :))

Well..Awaiting here 4 u to get sick n tired of this n unload it to me. I'm a very patient man, I can wait 4 ever.

What would a Borko blade do for my game? I haven't heard that much about them.

A Borko blade is made out of wood only and will offer the best touch available in table tennis. You can get all kind of speed and feel.
Best you can do to know more is to call him; his number is on his web page: http://www.borkoandson.com - http://www.borkoandson.com
look at the opening times of Balboa Park TT club in San Diego http://www.sdtta.org - http://www.sdtta.org and http://www.sdtta.org/events/calendar.aspx - http://www.sdtta.org/events/calendar.aspx (scroll down).
Chances are you won't be able to talk to him when club's doors are open. But 30 minutes after the club closes you will be able to .
In a conversation that you will enjoy you will agree with him on what you need and he'll deliver 2 to 3 weeks after payment depending how far you are in the queue.

It appears that the 2 animated gif I made have been moderated out. Is it because they were sucking too much computing power or because they were just annoying? (just curious)
edit: those 2 animated gifs are in another thread (BBC)...

TOMMYYYY!!!
I figured I placed this
http://mytabletennis.net/Forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=18428&PN=1 - http://mytabletennis.net/Forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=18428&PN=1 in the wrong thread when you posted your temporary sorryness above.
questions: I know you like very light blades.
do you like them very fast?
what do you think about cork handles?

You surely have changed Tommy, it is good to have some patient Please post the picture when you have got it, I want to compare it with mine. My guess is that your blade will weigh somewhere in the vicinity of below 70 grams (according to the vision of wizzard aeoliah)

This is exactly how I felt after I started using custom one-ply blades! At least now we'll have an appreciation for our respective custom blades and can say "yeah, I tried that Butterfly ____ blade but found this custom blade much better."
EDIT: I know, I know. I need to change my avatar!
