Hi. I bought 3 new rackets and attached new rubber sheets just these past 2 months. I finally decided to use my Stradivarius and I now have these new rackets lying about. My question is: Will storing the other rackets in a plastic bag with the air vacuumed out help preserve the life of the rubbers? If you store your blade and or rubbers in a vacuum, the air/moisture will diffuse out and may dry them out. Remember all things want to be at equilibrium. ------------- Gave up listing, too many changes. Blade - Yes BH - Rubber Red FH - Rubber Black |

Interesting point but I don't see how it will dry out when it is in fact vacuum sealed. Any existing moisture will remain in the bag. I think it could make the sponge feel a little dead. There is air in the sponge, when you suck it out it will take a little while for the air to get back into the sponge.

When you pull a vacuum in the bag, what ever air that is in the rubber will either be pumped out when the bag is placed under a vacuum, or it will migrate to the bag later. This will reduce what was originally in the rubber/sponge. Will this damage the rubber, I don't know, but it will happen. ------------- Gave up listing, too many changes.
