I know this may sound like a silly question, but... I was wondering what the difference was in terms of feel for

Sriver EL 2.1 vs L Max
Sriver L 2.1 vs EL 1.9

Sriver EL is softer on both cases.

Yeah Sriver EL has a softer sponge than Sriver L.  Either way you go the thinner the sponge there will be less speed and it'll take a little more work to crank out a lot of spin. With a thicker sponge there is more dwell time, the ball will sink in more

I used to use Sriver EL 2.1 mm and recently switched to Sriver L max because of a recommendation from Hercules actually. I love it. It took maybe about a week to really adjust, but I feel more power with still very good EL-like control.

Of course, slower swings probably you should stay away from thicker sponges cause you won't be able to fully control it.

Footwork and forehand is always the answer.
