i use the violin and i like it. it is better for a rbh cpen like me cause of it's light weight. it is fast. acoustic cpen will be too heavy and useless.

The acoustic is a good blade don't get me wrong, but the handle is smaller than the Maze's. Plus the Maze has a slightly harder feel with a little less vibration which i like a little better. They both are very well balanced blades though

It is true that handle plays a big part. In addition to speed and control of a blade, the feeling that a blade gives is the most important aspect. Unfortunately, this feeling is somewhat largely influenced by handle: is it comfortable or not?
That is the reason that I did not buy Accoustic. I remember that I like the feeling of Accoustic much better than Violin, but because the handle is too slim, I did not buy it. ST is better but still a bit slim to my likings. I already have Korbel's FL which plays great but very uncomfortable and I did not want to buy a blade with uncomfy handle anymore. What's so great about the feeling if you don't feel right holding it.
But I agree that, apart from the handle, Accoustic is a very good blade !!!

I've tried my friend's maze before I tried Acoustic. At that time I use carbon blades. I feel Maze has more vibration than my carbon blades. Then I bought Acoustic first then Maze later. When I change from acoustic to Maze, I don't feel any vibration at all . I prefer blades with vibration, that's why I choose Violin or Acoustic.

I have purchased a Violin ST from Graetch that will surely replace my Jonyer Hinoki; it looks great!!!
What is the exact handle problem of these blades? Has it got just only accoustic, or both of them? Ive read that FL version are uncomfy, but I dont now the reason.

Both of them has a small handle problem, FL is the worst. ST is still slim for me but much better than FL.
For the wood selection and build quality, Violin is better than Acoustic. Looks more expensive than Acoustic.
Anybody use both Vioncello and Violin? I just want to know whether Vioncello's FL handle is bigger than Violin or not.

The length is sufficient, the only complain is it's not wide and thick enough. I wish Nittaku can make FL handle as big as H-King handle, it's so comfortable to grip.
Nittaku other blades like Nittaku Lumilas, Red Shank, Active 7 has bigger FL handle 24 mm compared to Violin and Acoustic 22 mm.
I think it's because of the weight balance, if the handle is bigger, it may feel handle heavy or balanced, rather than head heavy.

You're right Manluski, I haven't stated the reason of choosing those 2 blades.
Until now I still hasn't decided which is the best between Violin and Acoustic. It has it's speciality. Acoustic is faster, crispier, easier to loop. Violin is Slower, feels better/more vibration than Acoustic, better for blocking, playing short game.
Compared Violin n Acoustic with H-king, it's very hard to decides which is the best. H-king has the most feel, followed by Violin, the Acoustic.
Acoustic is the fastest, while Violin n H-king has the same speed IMO.
Compared Violin n Acoustic with M. Maze, I prefer Violin n Acoustic because it can gives more feeling than M.Maze. That's why my M.Maze is left inside the box right now.

Basicly I haven't decide which is my primay blade..hehe sometimes I play with amultart and sometimes with acoustic.. still trying n finding the most suitable for my play..
Generally that I find of this 2 blades are: acoustic: good speed, good control (much better than amultart), has more vibration, has more dwell time, good for looping, small handle (but because my hand is small..is not a problem for me.. ) amultart: excellent speed, less control, less vibration, less dwell time, good for hitting, has a bigger handle (Im very comfortable with it)
But right know..I'm focusing my play with acoustic

I had Acoustic and then Violin. I love these blades, but yesterday i`ve tried M.Maze, and here are my conclusions:
1. Violin has woody feeling, vibration is extinguishing by the blade
2. M.Maze has more control, in my oppinion, because you have feedback - when a ball hits the blade you can feel the impact and here "click" sound, i think it provides more information and therefore more control to the player.
I think Violin is great for chinese hard rubber, and Maze goes better with bryce

I found Maze is faster than violin, softer, has less vibration. Violin has more control than maze IMO. If you use bryce on Maze compared if you use it on Violin, you found easier to loop with maze because it's softer.
Since Violin is a bit hard, it's not suitable to combine it with hard chinese rubber like commercial H3. I found 40 deg and 39 deg is suitable on violin.

:) I wonder how many 1 ply hinoki club members actually use multi-ply non-hinoki blade, say an HK, as their primary blade. :)
Actually i used Violin RH as my primary blade, but recently switched to Cypress Alpha.

My main blade is either Acoustic or Violin. Still can't decide which is the most suitable for me. Sometimes I prefer more control than Speed, I found Violin is good. Sometimes I like the speed of Acoustic for easier looping scoring points. I hope Nittaku can make a blade with speed of Acoustic or better but with a feel of Violin, that will be a good perfect blade.

Three acoustics here ! 92g/90g/85g. My 85g with 2 sonex JP gold 2mm + overgrip weights 166g !
Use to have a violin too that I sold.
Much prefer acoustic over violin due to higher speed and better feel to my taste. Play it since 2005 and loving it as much as the first day !
I believe acoustic seniority should be given to Vassily. He's the one who gave me the virus. Thanks to him !
ps : I forgot. They are all FL. Handle covered by butterfly overgrip which solves the thinny size.
