Anybody have  some experience removing glue build up? what kind of solvent did you use? Usually i have no problem removing free chack but am not lucky in one of my rubbers i still have glue build up.

lamp oil or paraffin oil

Agree.  Just put PO on over the glue, wait a little bit, then wipe off with a paper towel.  It is messy, and may take a little effort, but works well without tearing up the sponge.

Try and get yourself a bottle of Acetone/Nail Polish Remover it does a good job in softening the glue up and making it easy to rub it of.........

For your health, use Eucalyptus oil.

Usually, I put on more layers of glue and let them dry until the build-up is thick and tough enough that I can literally pull the glue off the sponge.

It's not messy, but you waste glue.

What about removing glue on the blade itself?
