It is excellent blade with great soft medium feeling. I played offensive NCT with Tenergy 05 (from ThaiLe). It is fast combo, but I did not see any lost of control. The only thing (which I don't like) is that the blade is headheavy (which is normal for any stiga blade).

I'm wondering if the new Allround would suit me. They claim it's faster, but has the same great control. I found one weighing in at 75g so I'm thinking it won't be top heavy, but not sure!!

Hi Tommy. My Allround NCT has 74g. With 2 x Tenergy 05 1.9mm it is still playable for me. I played that for a while. Recently i've changed my FH-rubber to Express One 1.8mm, because i wanted to have something better for killing, hitting, smashing. I need that for my game. Tenergy 05 is more demanding on technique, more sensible to incoming spin and less forgiving in direct (frontal) ball contacts, so driving and hitting was not that safe with Tenergy 05.

Allround NCT is quite stiff for a pure wood without carbon, arylate, etc. You can compare it with Samsonov Alpha: about the same stiffness, a tad less speed, a better touch, and more head heavy of course. I wouldn't say it performs magic, but it has no weaknesses and does pretty everything decent. Moreover, due to its stiffness, it works together with Tensors, which is an important point for me. For example YE and OC did not work with Tensors for me. Nevertheless, it gives a lively "natural" feel.

Thanks Klaus.
I have a couple magical blades, but the EJ in me wants one more. They came out with this new line and I'm just wondering if it would fit my game. Do you think it would work with short pips?

I've received a bunch of emails about this blade. It seems there are many players around the world swearing by it. I can't resist . . . I just ordered a couple handpicked beauties from one of my secret sources. I'll let you guys know my impressions. I'll have the blade in a couple days.

Anyone else have experience with these new blades?

Well, I'll only have one to play with as the twin has been wooed away from me. I wonder what makes this blade so unique. I guess I'll find out. :-).

You will love it. It does not have the hard feel like Stiga Offensive, but it has most of the characters of Stiga Offensive. The feeling of the blade is not only soft medium but also solid for hitting. The dwell time is great for looping.

Thanks tdragon!
From what I hear, 78g is an ideal weight. Many of these seem to come in about 74g or 83g. I look forward to checking it out . . . couldn't resist.

Do you think hard chinese rubbers could suit that blade like OC do? Or this one is more for european/japanese ones.

+1
I have & am having the same experience. I LOVE this blade; maybe just a little more than you Klaus123.
I would say it almost performs magic and does everything pretty damn well & has SUPERB touch!
I think you have assessed the blade very accurately.

I have noticed though that, if one hits a real shank, the blade will vibrate with great vigor. Never had another blade produce such pronounced feedback when excecuting a crap stroke/shot.
This VERY minor "anomaly" aside I am purchasing another.

Are you guys talking about this blade?

Could anyone compare this blade to the Samsonov Alpha? I'm down grading to a wood blade and will be trying the Alpha this week. But I was interested in the Offensive NCT.

thanks

Yes, that's the one.

Offensive NCT is more powerful than Samsonov Alpha and the control is pretty much the same.  However, NCT seems to be slightly head heavy and vibrate more than Samsonov Alpha.  Another issue I had with Samsonov Alpha is its bulky handle due to my small hand.  NCT is a good blade indeed.

Klaus is speaking of the Allround (compared to Samsonov)
& by Stiga's numbers the Offensive NCT is speed 87 to the Allround NCT's speed 72

one might presume the Offensive NCT is faster than the Samsonov
sorry I can't make a direct comparison from firsthand experience

Good Hitting

I have the NTC offensive with Tenergy 05. Works like charm.
The loops are very powerful and it has a good touch.

One thing to notice, though, is that there's a difference between the flare and the straight handles. Obviously the flare (i use the legend) is heavier, so in general it punches and smashes better than the straight.

Allround NCT is a very good blade.

The NCT version is a lot faster than the normal Offensive Classic. Even the Allaround NCT is faster than the Offensive Classic. The Allaround NCT is actually as fast as your typical 5-ply blade that gets an "OFF" rating.

Some attempts at objective measurements:

Those would also speak against OC being faster than All-NCT.

based on the links above, Allround NCT is faster than Offensive Classic. But the anomaly is OC, not All NCT. All NCT is still ALL+, itls just that OC is really just ALL.

Based on a brief test, I would say NCT version has much less unpleasant vibration (it's subjective of course, but to me the OC vibration is annyoing) but with more power. Thumbs up for NCT.
