Hi, For all Violin users out there (or not), how would Tenergy 25 2.1 on FH, and Boost TP 2.0 on BH be - feel and play ? I'm thinking T25 for FH to keep serves/pushes really low - read that T25 has low throw angle, and need something faster with same control as my current Refoma. And, Boost TP just to see how it plays on BH compared to my current Bryce (2.1). Just to give an idea on where i am and my play-style: US 1789 rated, play aggressive close/mid-distance with FH hits/drives, FH loops mainly to open and strong BH drives. Do not do much counter-looping unless I'm forced back, prefer blocks at the table with FH/BH drives/hits. thanks in advance! Sunil ------------- Violin (T25/FH, G2FX/BH) |

Refoma unglued is going to be slower than T25. One thing about refoma is that it is very linear and predictable. I think that any SGE rubber is going to play differently than one that is designed differently (i.e. refoma was designed for speed glue but plays well --although less dynamically--without it) Having said all that, I went from refoma to gambler outlaw and really like it. I would give outlaw a go at only $14 USD for FH. Know that it is a bit harder than refoma but should do well on your violin IMO. 05 and 25 have the same hardness sponge I think but different pimple structure...so going to T25 would also be going to a harder sponge than Refoma. Gambler is going to release a softer version too and I am really excited to try that when it arrives. And no, I don't sell the rubber, just like it a lot. hmm...that's good feedback. T25: - harder sponge than Refoma, so may give Outlaw a chance (cheaper too) - less control than Refoma, so yes 1.9 may be a better option! ------------- Violin (T25/FH, G2FX/BH) |

IMO Tenergys are meant mainly for looping and loop driving. For hitting Bryce speed and especially speed FX should be better.
I find hard + fast rubbers pretty uncontrollable for hitting ( too much catapult ), better go with a softer yet fast rubber.
If you just want something faster, then how about trying a faster blade.

compared to unglued bryce it's much more powerful, with Boost TP you're blocks and hits are fast and flat.
