Subject: The rubber for jun mizutani blade
Date Posted: 08/27/2009 at 10:25am
after watching korea open i decided as an ej, to give my jun mizutani blade another chance.

i have tried jun mizutani blade with a lot of fh rubbers (t05, chinese, ...), bh rubber sriver fx, and never liked it

however, 2 days ago i tried with bryce on fh and, .... this is THE RUBBER for Jun Mizutani blade.

And now is one of my favourite blade + rubber combo.

Sometimes it gets a lot of time and the right rubber to get a monster blade.

Try Donic Coppa Gold.  It worked really well on MJ blade.

t05 works well, but give bryce sometime.

one important tip with this blade is to get the hand holding the blade going to hold more the rubber. see in videos that jun mizutani does it.

i rather like viscaria, or tbs, more with bw2, or h3 or 729 tensor ..... than jun mizutani.

good work mizutni.

i play with a 1,9 bryce.

jmizutani blade with that rubber is also very dangerous serving. the combination of blade hardness and that rubber can do amazing serves.

watch also how mizutani hurts shuai with the serve.

It needs a pretty fast stroke motion to play right with hard sponge rubber on a hard blade. After playing with T05 on a Ma Lin carbon on and off for 9 months I'm giving up; it is just too tiring for me. I've heard that the Jun Mizutani is a hard blade too so your selection of Bryce should fit very well. I'm glad you've found a combination that you really like. I'm getting closer for my own quest with the Violin I assembled last week.

I found Sriver Fx very good on FH and BH for Controlled loop on both wings.

woow unagidon

xiom strato, that is really a weapon. need skill to handle it.

well another advantage of that miztani bryce blade is that is a good evolution blade. I mean that blade is not forgiving, so the more you train with that blade themore easier improvment you are going to have with more forgiving blades.

After training with jm, i get my HK from 2005 (sorry that is the really good HK, 07, 08 not as good) with bryce and i can play like god.

another tip: if you want to improve take a spare blade with somewhat similar setup but handicaped in someway (weight, forgivness,...) and train with that.

jm blade is for people skilled and that trains every week. if not, then use it to improve with easier setup.

i play 2 HK 05 one with bryce fh and another one with yasaka new era (a thin 2.0 one) fh and sriver fx bh. these are the 2 best rubbers for me.

i didnt like t05, h3 (maybe a faster one can be good), sriver (i liked but slow, maybe a faster one g2,3 can be good).

i will try bw2 soon, can be interesting.

I had a good time playing the MJ with Cornilleau Pilot Advance rubbers.

I hear here and there that Cornilleau Pilot Advance are very similar to Stiga Boost rubbers. It's true they do have a lot in common.

I bet the boost tx rubbers would work great on this blade (I never tried).

Boost TS, Joola Mambo GP, Cornilleau and T05-FX. OH Stiga Calibra series is not bad but would not be my first choice.

The Jun blade is a very quick blade and the H3 national would suite this blade just fine

T05 fx works phenomenal on the bh. Still looking for a good fh rubber. For now h3 provincial tuned works fine but i noticed that counterlooping hurts a bit for some reason. I will try the new BW2 red sponge next. I heard counterlooping is great with that rubber

Isn't the Photino really similar to the Mizutani?  I think the TO5 works best with my hinoki outer ply.  Thats just what I think.Smile

I stick roundell on BH, it's pretty good. FH I put H3 Neo Provincial 39 deg.
I don't use it as my primary blade, it's a blade for my wife if she wants to play with me Smile

Do chinese rubbers work well with chinese rubbers such as Skyline TG3 NEO or H3 NEO? Would it be too hard?

Has anyone played with T05FX and T64 on this blade? I will be tempted to get T64 after my current rubbers.

I'm using the addidas p5 and tenergy 05 fx as the mizutani is a heavy blade and this combination keeps the blade relatively light. I tried to use the 05/05 fx combo but its just too heavy and since the p5 behaves similarly to the 05 i switched and so far works well ^_^
