The video clip didn't mention how he broke the rules. But the second time he got in trouble was because when zhang jike's handler coach asked for a time out, but he didn't listen , and lost the game. Liu Guoliang was very mad, and reprimanded him for 30mins. Zhang jike regret the decision, and explained that he needs to be more mature in the future.

Rough translation:
Zhang likes to hit the ball very hard, and a lot of it its because of his personality, which is rebellious. In the 2010 wttc close door training, coach xiao zan emphasize training on rally. He always remind zhangjike to hold the power, dont let it out. Make sure to hit the ball onto table, move forward. But zhang jike always like to hit it hard, because he said it feels good.

At 2002, only 14yrs old zhang jike won the junior world champion, quickly become a focal point within the chinese national team. At 2004 because of disobey the team rules, he got sent back to provincial team.

00:20 My playing style is fierce, like the fierce attack and enjoy the unexpected.

00:30 Feels like the whole body is very thorny (very unpolished), needs to file down the thorn.
00:45 Before the 2010 WTTC game, in a close door training session, head coach liu guo liang gave him lots of advice during the training. Zhang jike's first wttc tournament

01:03  Liu guo liang: yes , yes, use your right feet to find the position.

01:10 Zhang jike feels very nice to be in the front line , the training and the treatment is especially nice . He feels this first close door training has been very helpful to him. He feels that his techniques has improved a bit because of that. Especially during the rally, he feels that its better than before.

01:28 During the everyday training, his handler coach xiao zan always emphasize on rally training and always remind zhang jike: hold your power ah, dont hit hard. move close to table.

01:45 Why did the coach has advice like that ? it must have a lot to do with his own personality.
misses balls too much. but it feels good when he wins with the power hit. ( seems like zhang jike is also guilty of hitting the ball too hard, lol )

02:00 His playing style is very fierce, his rebellious personality has a lot to do with it.

2:10: He's like a piece of stubborn steel, too hard, break too easily. he needs to flex a little bit

2:50: When he went back to provincial team, he felt very down and blame himself for losing such a great opportunity in the national team, and was going to give up playing table tennis completely, and almost collapsed .

3:50: 2yrs after that, he went back to national team and at the national champion game, he beat malin, wang liqin and wang hao and got his first champion. he showed everyone that he has the potential to come back. but with his rebellious personality, he got into trouble again.

4:10 Liuguoliang head coach was reprimanding zhang jike for not listening to his coach at the 2009 tournament.

5:00 Liuguoliang ban him from playing tournament as punishment. zhang jike said its hard to control self's emotion, and it affect the game result.

5:40 Coach: everytime when he gets in the final 4, for some reason he jsut cant get the championship, thats mostly due to his personality, which needs to be polished and more time to mature.

6:00 For the 2010 moscow open, he has determined to win the pretrial. Zhang jike likes to hit the ball hard, and Ma long is opposite.

7:20: One of the most tense match for zhang jike

8:30: ZHang jike made it in the pre trial!!! He hold the power and let opponent make the mistake, and that worked for zhang jike

Ok thats the rough transalation that I just did in office, hope you guys will enjoy the clip

how come ma long likes to hit soft??

I don't think he meant Ma Long likes to hit soft, rather that Ma Long is a more strategic player and control his shots, not always hit them the hardest he can but also put emphasis on putting the ball back on to the table. Unlike ZJK who likes to hit everything hard.

I'm sorry to say that I find this very hard to swallow. To me it's the other way round.

Zhang Jike likes to  plays balls that easy for him to hit hard where Ma Long likes to play incoming balls that already has a lot of incoming speed and spin. Thats what the video said.  Sorry, hope this is clearer translation :)

what I love about chinese is that they focus on feelings, on how they feel inside...
I also noticed this in some translated interviews after matches with wang hao and other players.
other countries players never talk like that, I guess it's a cultural thing.
