What makes a blade high throw or low throw?? What materials, speed, grain, hardness.......etc??? Will a low throw rubber on a high throw blade equate to a medium throw setup?? and visa versa??

do not expect throw of blade differ from blade to blade as much as throw differs from rubber to rubber

I would confer on this, but peeps are sugesting that some blades might have different throw angles. Is there such a thing or is it mental???

No there are some blades that do have lower or higher throws. From my experience the harder feeling blades tend to throw a tad lower than the softer blades with more dwell. But I do agree with friendship about the rubber, I also believe that makes a bigger difference than the blade.

it is real. you can see it actually when glueing same rubber to different blades. I had prehistoric dunlop blade with visibly lower throw. with sriver, it was not nice combination to play. and it was pretty stiff blade

The stiffness of the blade affects its throw angle, as I think I said before. The more flexible the blade, the higher throw angle it has.

Based on the various aylate carbon and aramid carbon hybrids I have used I think this is right.  I also agree that rubber is more important but blades contribute some.

Is it fair to assume that a faster blade generally will have a lower throw than a slower blade???

faster blade should have lower throw (and vice versa), but not neccessary in a linear way. Bomb blade which is in one of my setups is not low throw blade

My impression is that this is sometimes and probably often true but not always.  My Viscaria seems to have higher throw and is quite a bit faster than the one Clipper that I owned.
