Why tenergy? It's time to change your set up when you want something faster, spinnier or with more control. If you are happy with your set up, then there's no reason to change. I would stay away from monster blades until you get a coach. Lastly, your wording makes it sound like you feel obligated to buy tenergy when you upgrade. Unless you're just wanting to try it, or have played with it before and like it, don't buy a $80 rubber because it's an upgrade from your pre-assembled. There are plenty of rubbers at half the price that are plenty of upgrade from a pre-assembled. I made the same mistake you did. I took my $50 pre-assembled and slapped a T05 on it, thinking since it was so expensive, it must magically make me better. Sure, it had a lot more spin and speed, but in the end, it wasn't worth the money at my level.

Perfected your basics? That's a pretty strong statement.

If you've been using a premade with bland premade rubber that's been permanently glued on, I'd choose something in the middle rather than going to Tenergy. Paddle Palace offers some good combination specials that would be a good step up to real equipment without breaking the bank.

My current favorites would be:

Stiga Energy WRB Combo Special
Stiga Offensive Classic WRB Combo Special
Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive Combo Special

As for rubber, I think the best ones you can get in the combo special (without having to pay extra) are Stiga Mendo MP and Yasaka Mark V.

Do yourself a favor and don't slap tenergy on there and think you are ready to take on the world.

I went that route when I was developing, and suffered because of it.

You may very well be ready to upgrade from your pre-made, but by no means go straight to tenergy. Besides, like already stated, there are plenty of other options out there that are just as good as tenergy for most of all of our levels of play.

What's your budget?

I'd talk to cole at colestt.com. He'll set you up with something that is quality, and will not set you back a ton of money. If you have plenty of money to blow, by all means go for it, buying equipment is fun! But be smart about it and don't get something that will hurt your game.

Get a blade no faster than OFF-.

man get rid of that sh1t immediately : )

Just determine how much you want to spend on a new paddle and come back and tell us. The folks here will give you some options and the best places to buy.

try to get at least 100 bucks, preferably a bit more. Otherwise you will have to go the chinese route

Then FH

100 bucks total, including assembly and shipping. This setup is not going to hold you back. Even as you keep improving this will let you execute properly all shots, and you won't need an upgrade for quite some time..

If you can afford Tenergys then yes, go for it.  But I think you can be good with any rubbers that are about $40+ USD.  You can buy a decent blade which is $80 or more.  And I think it's about time for you to buy a good blade now because I think you're serious in playing and more into competitive now.
