today I played with avalox p500
fh palio cj8000 yellow sponge
bh palio cj8000 pink sponge

the fh one was kind of disappointing.
it had some layers of glue accumulated which I removed.
it felt much slower than before, less power and bounce.

the pink sponge one is a good rubber.
only counter is that speed is not that great.

I'm not convinced about cj8000, I think I need more liveliness.

my setup for next time:

p500
fh andro hexer
bh butterfly bryce speed fx

Wink

May I know why the tiltle is "the king (equipment)"?

By the way I'm also using CJ8000. I agree, CJ8000 is kinda lacking a lot of speed. Very tiring, have to use a lot of strength.

He is apparently a self proclaimed king.  Not sure why.

I am a poor king.
that's why I use avalox p500 which has same materials.

I liked how it played when it had that layer of old glue in the sponge.
either don't use it or glue it 10 times so some glue accumulates in the sponge and then try it.

you can be a poor king but a smart one. messing around is not the way.

with all the money you spent buying bargains can buy a real deal.

besides you give little time to be aware of equipment. probably because wanting to resell fast to get money for the next bargain.

there are blades that need more time to appreciate like the lud.power or the pg7. you let them go too quick.

and with all your years of experience you still are in the middle of nowhere.

the wheel is already discovered.

* want a good composite. a tbs alc like with tenergy. or spring sponge. or modern haifu like.

* want a wood blade. korbel like (stratus pw) (with modern tensors), yeo like (with chinese), or a good 7 ply (lud.p., clipper).

* want to experiment: hundreds of blades and rubbers. but first take a good reference set up and do not change it all the time.

The PG3 plays a lot like the HK but way cheaper

I like more the quality of avalox than dhs.

I play a couple of games a week at most so I can't have a regular setup and at the same time try other stuff.
you have to play more to be able to do that.

besides, I don't even care about my level anymore....

I know that if I train a lot I can play pretty good.
it's just not a priority for me now, I just play for fun and to move the skeleton.
don't care if I win or lose or whatever.
even like this I still have a decent level and can make a good match with anyone. Wink

today I used

avalop p500
fh hexer
bh bryce speed fx

great setup.
almost perfect.
hexer is much superior to any chinese rubber in flat hits and blocks.
only change I would make in hexer is make it a little harder and spinier.
bryce speed fx is almost perfect, don't know what I would change in it Smile

naaaaa man h3 sucks.
even if you consider looping with it a strong point you have the problem of speed in passive shots.
what I like about my setup with hexer is that the speed of fh and bh is similar.
so when making blocks with little time to react you don't have to worry about the speed of the arm like you do with h3.
you just put the paddle there and the ball goes back to other side automatically.
