I just need an answer. What's better for: Looping Powerlooping Drive/ Smash Serving Control Spin Potential Durability What's considered better for: Speed Throw Angle Dwell Time What's better for FH/BH. Also, overall question, what blade would go well with it? I think maybe a med-soft, but stiff feel blade such as the new BTY ZJK ALC blade. Or maybe a med-hard blade, with stiff feel such as the Mizutani Jun? Thanks!

64FX is new enough that there's probably not enough comparison yet. But here's how I look at it: I want to know what professionals are playing with not because I think it will help me play like them, but because they only use equipment which fits their needs. Since numerous professionals are using both Tenergy 05 and 64, both of these rubbers are probably solid choices. On the other hand, almost no professionals are using 25, 05fx, 25fx or 64fx - which makes me think these rubbers are missing something important. So my conclusion would be based on how hard you swing. - If you swing moderately hard, use Tenergy 05 on both sides with a TB-ALC or ZJK-ALC. - If you don't swing very hard, use a MJ with Tenergy 64 on both sides. |

| Well, 25 in general sucks in my opinion. 05FX is too slow. I'm not sure about 64FX but maybe some pros will use it. Like Kreanga or people who like soft rubbers. But I think 64 should be a good FH rubber. I will wait until people review FX. It might be a bit too soft though. |

T64 is also high throw, just not as high as T05. When looping fast and hard, it is almost as high throw as T05. T64 is already quite a bit softer than T05. There's no need to go even softer. There is T05FX which is a notch softer and less springy than T64. I think T64FX will simply be too soft. If you want to chop while retaining some attacking power, then OK, it's a good rubber for you. I agree with this. If you want something a little lower throw, I would suggest Hexer or Stiga Boost series. |

actually, there is not much difference in hardness between 05fx and 64fx. only the pimple structure is different, they feel the same hardness to me |

T64 and T64 FX behave about the same. If your playing stand is closed to the table (within 3 feet) them the FX is your good friend. If you power play loop/hit from 5-6 feet and beyond the reg T64 will do you good. |

TENERGY rubbers have same hardnesses unless they are the FX version. 64 has same sponge as 05, just less pimple. Thats what makes it feel softer. |

Yes the sponge is the same hardness (or it is supposed to be), but having less pimples make the T64 softer. It's not only feels softer, it IS softer. Even having the same sponge, having fewer pimples makes the sponge effectively softer as you are putting the same force on less surface area of the sponge. I played with T25FX. It's the same hardness as regular T05 and plays very similar too (though not as much catapult and has more glue sound). I have been using it to chop with lately and I have to say it does a good job at this.. slightly slower and perhaps even better it is lighter... which can add up quickly on a large defensive blade. ------------- Timo ALC FL Tibhar Grip S MAx Tenergy 64 FX National 2.1mm He never boosts... of course he never had to... |
