Try Zeropong, ColesTT and megaspin in the US, ppgear in Canada BUT i think it's discontinued and there are newer variants, i have on one racket rubber with blue and yellow sponge and have not seen any with blue sponge again...

thats exactly where I am looking but I dont think I am able to find this. It was an excellent backhand rubber but sadly it is deteriorating. Does anyone know of a rubber that plays similar to the original 729 rubber?

i saw some on ebay but i'm not sure what i'll get if i ordered lol Tongue
This was put on by my old coach...he ripped off my Mark V and slapped these on and said..."play"...it's on an old Yasaka wood blade heavy compared to todays lightweights but this sponge and rubber still has some zing on counter attacks, which is amazing Embarrassed
Sadly i have not found anything even it's new variants that plays like it.
Zeropong has tackspeed listed as "original 729"

hey ttplayer could these be the rubbers you are talking about: http://ttnpp.com/shop/friendship-729-ritc-p-132.html?zenid=0cp63ldk9pit605f5edf9joaq5

actually its a really old 729 blade. Its 5-ply wood but I have no idea what its made of. It is a really great blade that can outperform some of my fancier blades

looks like you are correct my friend. The rubbers are one and the same. The markings on the center and the box off to the side match the rubber I have.

That is not 729 origin, it must have word " origin" on topsheet. 729 have about 15 types

Suggest you try other make of rubber like Japanese or German type unless yours is a Provincial or National version. Most Chinese rubbers are 'dead' and heavy.
