the top ply from Hurricane Hao which doesnt splinter at all.

if there was a blade with top ply of HH and the rest of the odd from Clipper and played like a clipper or RW5 it would be awesome

or jsut RW5 without the nano top layer which is kinda crap but instead with the HH layer

I think you have an amazing combi: Skyline 3 blue sponge with Hurricane Hao; how fast that will be;)

HHao top layer is koto which is very common, though it uses softer and thicker layer of koto. HKing has the same composition but harder koto layer.

The rwv with a thick and solid handle keeping the weight to not be too heavy would be pretty good blade. unfortunately this doesn't exist.

i linda like the RW5 handle it balances the blade prety well and feels nice..

wait so its the same layers as Clipper( red stuff)?? that stuff is very durable untill you hit it obviously.. you never need to seal it...

as for tg3Bs and HHao its not crazy fast but comfortably fast.. if boosted its a bit too fast for close to the table( obviously)

I like Violin also, but if we talk about the appearance, I prefer Hinoki outer layer, it looks more beautiful.

are there other kinds of wood that are usable for one ply blades?

maybe Balsa or Linde?

I love a limba-ayous combination, excellent control with plenty of spin and power.

I like Hinoki and Rosewood a lot. Hinoki because it's soft and stiff at the same time so great feeling and power and rosewood because it's very hard and it looks very exotic.

Balsa is too soft for a one-ply blade - you need something for the outer plies.

It really depends.

For JPens, I like single ply Hinoki.

I like to play with hinoki single ply with soft rubbers on it. A lot of fun.
