Hi, everyone

I just ran out of my BTY free chalk glues, they are pretty great. i was thinking about to get some cheaper one like The xiom Glue on megaspin for 10 dollars, but I don't know if its going to be easy to peel off the rubbers after a while.

Any suggestions?

tearmeander, copydex, dianchi, revolution no3 to name a few, all much easier to peel off the rubber than Bty chalk

Well, I thought it was easy to peel of the rubbers with free chack. But I will look into the one you just mentioned. Thanks!

Well, my friend has a xiom glue that looks like I bond, it was very hard to peel off the rubber. That's why I was asking about the I bond...

I-bond is very strong (i have not tried it in the last year or so, but it used to be very strong!)... make sure you seal the blade first.

Donic Vario is what I use... it's the best I've found so far.

Tearmender - you can get it at Walmart.com - pick it up at store near you - free shipping. Just shake the bottle to make sure it liquid when you pick it up. (An old problem where they used to harden - I think the new version doesn't have this problem anymore)

is there another WBG that yasaka produces other than norisuke? finezip is the best that ive tried, i bought 2 of them when i went to japan years ago, the reason why i asked is because i read a thread here that says yasaka WBG is horrible, but now im using yasaka norisuke and it works just fine, i put 2 layers on the rubber 1 on the blade and its good to go, easy to peel

Hello guys.
I'm am not frequently writing posts on the forum, but I read and follow your discussions almost on a daily basis.
I just wanted to say that I'm using Joola Lex glue for almost a year now and I'm really satisfied with it. It is latex based glue. It sticks rubbers on the blade without any trouble, even on those Stiga NCT blades, or on any king of varnished blade surface. The other good thing about it is that it's cheaper than most of other TT glues on the market.
I usually use only one layer on a blade and one on a rubber. When I want to remove the glue from the rubber, I just put one more (a bit richer) layer of glue on the rubber, wait for it to dry, and it comes of without many troubles.
In how many strokes I can remove the glue from the rubber, it mostly depends on the rubber sponge. From the Chinese hard sponged rubbers, the glue sometimes comes out all in once. Anyway, the more soft and porous the sponge is, the harder the glue comes off.
Just mine few cents.

Yes... I seal it...
It can stand for 3-4months hehehe....

For some people it hard to peel off... But it is easy.... I use parafin oil or if i don't have enough time, i will use booster....

I use Xiom I-Bond. The Xiom glue is good but it is better (and last longer) than the sponge applicator at the end of the bottle.

So I use the Butterfly Clip Sponge kit to get smooth glue jobs every time. ...

Donic Vario Clean Glue is nice however old glue does not peel off the sponge. I have ruined a few sheets because of this problem.

I'm actually picking up tearmender from walmart  on Monday. Super cheap. Excited to try it for my OX rubbers.

(i use good ole rubber cement for my sponge rubbers)

Whatever you do, never use Air gluesheets. Such a pain to get off.

(this here will take me about an hour of hair dryer coupled with rubbing with my fingers.) That's even with a sealed blade)

bns   where are you located?   Im in the GR area.....   go to a ACE hardware store and get a 2.oz or 6.oz bottle of Tear Mender.  It is a cheap laytex glue that is pretty much identical to some TT glues.   No need to overspend on small bottles of TT glue.

I used to get it at Meijers in the sewing isle hanging on the pegboards.  2.oz for about $7

Finezip is originally a white-label product.  Stiga has the exact same glue (even the same tubing and packaging) but calls it Stiga attach and charges a few $ less.

Strong water base glues that are removable from sponges are few and far between. The list starts and ends with finezip and Haifu. Everything isn't very good. Haifu just might make your eyesight blurred for a few days from ammonia poisoning
