Hi!

I´m a defensive player and since the last year I´ve been using TSP Curl P1 0.5 mm black in my backhand. This is the best long pimples I´ve used, but the last time I played, the empire said me that they are not legal because they are black, but he wasn´t totally secure. If they were red there´s no problem according to him. I was a bit confused because I have changed the rubber a month before because the first is broken. And I bought it in a good table tennis shop and they have all my trust.

Then, I looked for the legal and ilegal rubbers in the ITTF and I found that are legal TSP Curl P1 R. First I thought that this "R" means "red" but, I have saw that in the cover of the rubber is written "P-1 R" and "Pimples out black 0.3 - 0,6". So, I don´t know if they are legal or not.

Could anybody tell me rubber TSP Curl P1 black is legal or not? All your help will be good :)

P.D: Sorry for my bad English, I´m a Spanish player and I don´t control the language at all, if you don´t understand something, tell me ;)

Just to have clarity, is your rubber a P1R rubber or P1?
P1 hasn't been available for yearssssss, so I doubt you have P1

If you have P1R, then umpire might think that R is Red lol
In your defence in the future, use the ITTF number - don't use the name or colour
If your ITTF rubber number is legal, then it is legal

if you know the umpire is wrong, you can always raise the issue with the tournament referee.
