I'm considering to buy a new rubber, which is a classic rubber. I was wondering which of these two should I get? What are the differences of each?

Thanks! :D

Musa, the best "new" classic rubber so far. Good spin, tremendous control and medium hardness. IMO much better then Mark V, Sriver, Vario etc.

Which one is harder? I'm planning to get one of these rubbers for my backhand.

@danntreventon,

Nittaku Flyatt Hard is great for the backhand. Relatively light and is natural rubber, made in Japan. I am using one so I can vouch for it. And people's reviews have been very positive. It shouldn't be any more than US$35-40.

Classic rubbers from Stiga like NEO, Carbo MC, Mendo, ... are very good for BH, and very cheap.

David Zhuang likes Musa; he was yelling the name after winning a game while playing Cory Eider at the nationals. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=ufpIMfZEdzs#t=444" rel="nofollow - http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=ufpIMfZEdzs#t=444 Tongue

I want to try Musa on my BH after I heal from a fractured ankle. Playing Tarzan and being 65 years old don't mix. :)

Maybe the rubber brings to mind the great Atanda Musa, the Nigerian TT legend.

Is that why you have been so scarce lately?

Thanks for the opinion guys, I bought both Musa and Neos Sound Synergytech. I must say they're really good backhand rubbers, that complement my Chinese forehand rubbers. :)

Sorry to hear that Frogger. I had a bad sprained ankle about 2 yrs. ago, when I re-turned to playing I wore ankle supports for a long time cause I got paranoid about spraining my ankles again. Take it easy and get better.

Thanks Roger, I will wear an ankle support when I return to play. We are warriors and shall fight on. :)

In what ways is it better than Sriver EL?

Musa is blade sensitive. It will be disaster if you put it on a pure wood, like Xiom Offensive S or slower, and bliss on a superfast and hollow composite blade. I will never buy it again. Neither Mark V. A simple Tibhar Rapid is way better in every respect.

just buy a modern allround rubber, there are plenty of them with decent prices.

Haha, very funny.

But what's also funny, he wasn't yelling "Musa!" when he failed his serve return, in the following play. Haha. See link.

Why is it a disaster if you put in on an allwood blade? I'm using it on my Avenger 5 as a BH rubber and its fine. :)

Don't know if you were joking or not but he was yelling 'Woosah'.

Woosah? I did not know that rubber. Yet again I never used short pips.
