Last night one of my opponents was using one of these:

What a monster! The blade is 12mm thick, with a 9mm balsa core, and the head size is very much oversized. The guy was using double inverted (not in max thickness), playing a retrieving game. It was like playing against a wall. He appeared to put no effort into anything but the ball just kept coming back - until I missed, that is.

When he chose to hit, the speed was phenomenal.

Does anyone play with a Superbalsa II ? Played against one?

A very thick and fast oversized balsa blade that vary in weight in more than 20+ gramms. Giant Dragon, in their great wisdom, have discontinued this blade...

This was probably their most popular blade from a price to uniqueness standpoint.  I bought 3 a couple years back when it was my main blade, and wanted to try them again because of the new ball.  Then I found out they were impossible to get and the replacements were far more expensive....

Yes I agree, I don't understand their logic... perhaps it wasn't popular in their main markets.

Their pricing have also increased dramatically over the years, possible due to their large advertising overheads...I see their ads everywhere...
