I've been using Butterfly Hinoki Pen Winner II for about 2 years now. I started with a Chinese rubber DHS Skyline III neo and switched to Xiom Omega 4 Asia shortly. I was recommended to get an even faster blade and also I did see an improvement with my play when I switched to XO4A. I was wondering if there are still any Japanese Penhold players that would recommend a faster blade. My budget is around $100-$150 just for the blade.

I have no knowledge of terms of rubber being too "fast" or "spinny". I've been getting coached for three years by a friend's dad that has played in the Olympics in Korea but now he went back to Korea. I've always been supplied with rubbers by him so I never really used any rubber other than XO4A.

I've never been in any tournaments but I've been playing in a club for three years against 2200-2300 rated players. They would say my rating is a bit under them because games would always be close to deuce.

About the blade, I would look into: Nittaku Excellent A. You can get for 129,00 U$ (presports.com)

P has a round and short head while A has a square long head shape. P also has a shorter handle.

Thanks again, I'll probably get the A because I prefer "square" paddles.
