The Euro depreciation has created awesome market dynamics for tensor.

if you buy Xiom Vega pro from tabletennis11.com, and take the 30% volume discount; your cost per sheet will be $19

if you buy a sheet of Xiom Omega II asia from timtts.be, even for one sheet you will end up paying $21

Ha ha... stock up now, and hope greece screws up further!!!

The only rubbers I recommend. $20 usd for Xiom Vega Asia!!! $25 Joola Rhyzm!!!!!  It's a good time to be in the EJ game, too bad I retired.. Hopefully, some you take advantage of these cheap rubbers and my EJ spirit will be with you. I would buy 1 of each from tim, after testing then buy 20 sheets of Vega Asia or Rhyzm. Should last many years, not sure about storage though, maybe buy a bottle of booster to wake up sheets if they go dead in storage and you'll be good.

I put in cart 11 rubbers and got more than 300 euro. after 30% discount I got $223. if you divide it by 11 you will get $20 per rubber

It isn't a tensor. TTDB isn't infallible.

everywhere says it is tensor, where do you see otherwise? I am using it now and it has the catapult feel.

It doesn't say that everywhere. Look up a few posts - I just said it wasn't, for example. 😊

It's made in China, and so by definition it can't be a tensor. Only esn in Germany makes tensors.

It's not really a tensor.  Tensor is a word with no real definition.  It's like certs with retzyn or whatever that stuff was called.  Somebody's marketing term.

Just like tuned...their tuned rubbers aren't tuned in the sense of having oil in them (except now BattleII).  Their tuning is a gas that they blow into the mix when they bubble/aerate the sponge.  But it's not oil like you would think of tuner.

Truthfully I don't think ANY rubber really has a factory stretched topsheet.  It's just part of the terminology they came up with back when the glue ban came out to make people think rubbers play like glued.

I have aurora. Its not on par with german tensors. For example my xiom's . But its not a typical chinese rubber. Its not really hybrid.
I would compare it to 2nd gen esn rubber. Its a great rubber regardless.
I say its "tensor" by name haha.

AHSQ ..the only tensors in 729 range are highpoint rubbers....but those were zurassic era tensors.

For all other 729 rubbers if they are using the word tensor, it is illegal as it is trademark of ESN Elastomers GMBH.

http://www.esn-tt.de/

is one of the World´s largest and most innovative producers of table tennis rubbers for tournament players. The company was established in 1991. Since then it has grown from three to over 180 employees. ESN works only “Business to Business”, and delivers custom-made products to the table tennis brands, that reach the table tennis players through retail dealers."

After the world wide ban on toxic solvents in table tennis about one third of all competition players use products with ESN technology.

  • Tensor Logo
  • Bios Logo
  • Bond Logo

The esn logo is also unreliable. A few years back they agreed that the logo wasn't required on the packaging. I guess it was a way of reinforcing the individual brand identities and taking the similarities between rubbers out of buyers' minds. "made in Germany" is what you're looking for in the main, but that also covers some non-tensor esn stuff like Musa.

This all comes down to what ahsq means by "tensor" . I think he just means "tension technology of a generic nature", putting aside how much marketing fluff that is in reality.

I think you mean "speed glue effect" rubber.  Tensor is a tradename and refers quite specifically to a subset of the gazillions of products made for other companies by ESN of Germany, and 729 doesn't carry one of those.  Doesn't mean Aurora wouldn't play similarly to some ESN rubbers, but Tensor is not quite precise in this case.

Which  I now see others have said.
