I have been preferring white balls. Last time I bought orange balls was a number of years back. Perhaps it's just fashion. Are there any rules about ball color? I don't see orange balls in ping pong clubs in China.

I got a few Kingniks to try out before I committed to this batch. They do break sometimes when hit on the edge accidentally by practice partners or myself. (Maybe one per couple of hours, though one player managed to kill 3 Yinhe seamless in under 2 hours...) A few Kingnik 3 stars weren't so round either. Out of about 36 other Kingniks, 2 were rejected for wobbliness. These are balls for basket-based training and for games at my house. One basket holds up to about 180 balls. One gross (144) is less than one basket. So two gross allows a fair number of replacements. Unfortunately, training quality plastic balls aren't round and consistent enough. (A player brought a bunch of training balls to my house and they were worse than useless.) |

I didn't order them myself, someone else ordered them for me. (My order was part of his order, i.e. he got a bunch more for himself.) Including shipping, he says I owe him $279.

Probably could have saved half the cost by ordering Gambler 3* 40+ balls. [edit] Hmmm ... maybe not. Seems like you are paying about $1/ball as it is which is a good price.

I briefly tried a bunch of those 3 star Gamblers. (They also came in a clear plastic packaging not a box.) Don't like the huge logos. I think I've tried most or all of the seamless balls including (two kind of logos) XuShaoFa and Yinhe. I was going to order Yinhe before the Kingniks came along. Sandiway

I agree that I like the look of the kingnik balls better, but I really cannot tell a difference between kingnik and the big label gamblers (or yinhe for that matter). One good thing about those gamblers-no one wants to steal them from you

Yeah. The Gambler logo is kinda large and not very elegant - not that it matters a whit to me though. They play the same as all the others and the quality control seems quite good. $1/ball is my target and these are the first that get me there without having to buy a gross. I sampled the Yinhe's from Cole too. They're good. If they were cheaper, I'd have bought them. The large Gambler logo is distracting for reading the serve.
