It was not bad last year; just hope they will not run out of data before the finals are up this time

Kim Song Gun, the PRK penhold player, got very powerful RPB - especially when attacking serves.
Two pre-recorded videos are already available - one against a Chinese player, the other against a Russian player.

Why do they never send the stronger/strongest Chinese players? It seems like they're sending nobodies who are always weaker or at a similar level to the PRK players. Political agenda maybe?

bbkon: You missed my earlier post, here it is again:
Kim Song Gun, the PRK penhold player, got very powerful RPB - especially when attacking serves.

============
Chinese penhold player: Mu Jingyu.
Pre-recorded videos of both Kim Song Gun and Mu Jingyu are available, you can watch them.
Note: Kim Song Gun's RPB attacking opponent's serves is very powerful.

Fan Siqi plays and moves just like a 70% ML and 30% FZD.
She certainly wins like one. Ri Mi Gyong is getting slaughtered.

can see some big RPB.
Technically excellent on both sides. Makes it look really easy and smooth. Wanna see him go up against Wong Chun Ting.

The kid is talented. Too bad his chinese penhold style with RPB makes him not competitive. Another wasted talent.

Surprised that Fan Siqi knocked out the 3rd seed, Ri Mi Gyong (ITTF #66) - 4:2
------------------
bbkon asked about names of penhold players:
Beside two names mentioned earlier, Xu Haidong (CHN) and Yu Yong Sun (PRK).
That's 4 penhold players already.

Tomorrow, Kim Song I vs Liu Weishan should be an interesting match.
Kim Song I is #2 seed with ITTF ranking of World #51.
Liu Weishan (without RC rating) appears to be a very good player.
(Without RC rating indicates that she has not played on the world stage before.)
With my poor guessing record, still itching to do it, my guess is that Liu Weishan will win.
*** There is a VOD of Liu Weishan vs Fan Siqi in Women Singles Qualification.

After seeing Fan Siqi took out the #3 seed, Ri Mi Gyong (ITTF #51), I wouldn't under-estimate the capability of these youngsters.

Did the coach get booted? Cant see the ittv on my phone only the highlights and notuced the PKR coah missing? I only watched part of that match then followed Pan Am Jrs :p
Home now, it hit the side of the table!
yeah and the coach shouldn't have stepped into the playing area either, that's why tiy see the referee coming over immediately.

If you were coaching Fan Siqi over there, what would you tell Fan Siqi to do?
Kim just keeps returning the ball back on the table.
You do not need to respond now. May be later.
Hard to play a chopper.

I think they want to show the over the top view because of the chopper. Anyway, it seems the gov't is going to run out the data very soon
