One of the best BH of S.XXI . It is as spectacular like Kreanga's one.

His coach said, ok, it is good , comedown.
Karas : In short said : "What! It is not good, 4 balls touching net so i can not hit strong, come on!, dont f**k me, in my case neither one them would go on the table.
His coach: Ok, just play
Karas: What to play, I lead 5:1, and I lose set, i dont give a f**k if I playing good, I lose set, thats a fact.
And then lots of swearing in serbian that is hard to translate

Karakasevic's backhand is pretty ferocious indeed, but he doesn't have the sweetest table tennis personality I have ever seen.
At the 2004 U.S. Open, he lost to some guy he thought he should have whupped. Then he took his racket and busted it over his knee. Then he took off his sweaty shirt revealing a truly impressive beer gut.
A year later, at the Arnold Schwarzenegger classic in Columbus, he found his backhand again against the long range chopper Matthew Syed. After he had slashed one of those bad boys off of Syed's chest, Matthew turned to the crowd and said "he hits harder than I do, but I'm better looking."
It was a draw. Syed, with his shaved head, prominent nose and chiseled features, resembled a Manchester bovver boy; Karakasevic looked like your neighborhood butcher.

Liu Guoliang knows very well how good Karaš's backhand is.

By the way, Karakasevic said that the European championships were his last tournament with the Serbian national team.

That coach is former world champion Zoran Kalinic, he can handle it. He probably played with father Karakasevic in the 1970s - all in the family.

Along with Viktor Barna, Vaclav Tereba, and Marty Reisman's backhand flick. Jorgen Persson's full bore backhand isn't too shabby either. And what about Mazunov (you all know which one I mean)?
For the backhand chop, I'd go with Barna, Richard Bergmann, Johnny Leach, Dick Miles, Angelica Rozeanu, Ding Song and Joo Se Hyuk. Zoltan Berczik definitely an honorable mention.

True. He wasn't a member of the national team yesterday in 2017 European Championships Team Qualification game against Germany.

Kara definitely has one of the best BHs of all time, but his fiery attitude and lack of physical conditioning kept him from maximizing his potential. If you also watch that match he won against Guoliang you will notice how he won most of the points in the last game with his FH. So don't discount his FH either, as it was very good.

Klampar anyone ? I always thought his backhand counter off the bounce was fantastic. I never saw anyone else who did it so relaxed and fast back in the day.

The player that you thought Kara thought he should have beaten was none other Vladimir Samsonov! Vlad controlled ALL of Kara’s ferocious backhand loops with ease. He tamed Kara’s bh sooo well that Kara would run out of steam after multiple bh loops. Kara would even start bh punching after several bh loops. After the match he snapped his time boll spirit but removed the super speed glued donic vario rubbers.

Agreed! When he was in excellent physical condition his fh was very vicious.
