I was inspired by a thread about the content of the forum recently, and although I don't have the knowledge of many here, nor the ability, I do like reading about and trying new equipment.  There's not much info out about these rubbers yet, so I figured I'd start a thread to see who has tried it and what they thought.

I believe Matt H is in the process of testing these rubbers. Keep an eye out on his FB.

Black one was great, red one is not so good. Black one shrinked A LOT when I took it of the blade.!

Well you can put it that way. On the otherhand Blackone was perfectly fine before removing it from the blade. So if you don´t like to re-glue you don´t have to worry about shrinking. Black Rhyzer was an excelent rubber while it last. Red one is still very good compairing other rubbers but not as good as the black one was. It is also possible that I got super good black Rhyzer and just normal red one. I will change a new red Rhyzer maybe in two weeks so I wil keep you posted how the second red sheet behavesSmile. Life span of Rhyzer is about a half compairing to Rasanter R47.

I think that Rhyzers are heavily boosted and that´s why they feels great fom the beginning and wears out quite fast.

Are we talking about the Rhyzer 48 or the 43?  I think the Rasanter 42 is a great rubber, so any comparisons of the Rhyzer 43 and Rasanter 42 would be awesome Smile

I wonder if a lightly boosted Rhyzer 50 Pro would play even better than it's counterpart (48)?

'Not so good' relative to what? That's the key question. My point there was that super-boosted Rhyzer 48 (right out of pack) had a better feeling than the one that was aired out for a couple of days prior to gluing. That is all.

Everyone has different requirements in rubbers. For you, perhaps, Mark V, Sriver, unboosted Chinese rubber would be good. For me, those aren't as good, especially with plastic ball. Or, if you're fine with a little shrinkage, perhaps, you'll prefer OLD ESN-style rubbers (Hexer, etc).

Generally, I shall not like a rubber UNLESS it is prone to shrinkage. Yes, Tenergy shrinks. A boosted H3 Neo shrinks. Rhyzer 48, Bluestorm Z1, O7P and MX-P shrink. I like all of those (& I have a bottle of Falco Long around to apply a coat after about 6 weeks on the sponge to eliminate the shrinkage & extend life).

sorry to go off-topic a bit but it's been discussed time and time again that Tenergy does not have any factory boosting in it, thus, it does NOT shrink if applied properly. If you roll it/stretch it when you glue the rubber, it will of course shrink later when removed.
I've reglued MANY tenergies, primarily 05s, over the last couple years and not one shrunk on me.

I admit that I was unclear with my statement. it´s not so easy to be completely accurate in english you know. So to be clear Black Rhyzer 48 is great rubber which shirks after you take it of your blade. Red one is not as good as black one but still better than other rubbers that I have tried. These are just mu observations not absolute truthWink.

I have never boost so I can´t really say. I think that Topsheet of a Rhyzer 48 is a bit grippier than R47s. But it is fair assumption that boosted R47 feels quite a like with Rhyzer 48. And to me R47 feels a bit harder than Rhyzer 48. It might be becouse of Rhyzers soft topsheet.

Chop4ever's booster doesn't harden the sponge, it merely doesn't soften the sponge like some other boosters(namely falco).

The rhyzer 48 is still the fastest esn rubber in the market. It is not for the fainthearted. 2.0/1.9mm is enough.

Tenergy definitely does have some factory boost, just not as extreme as some ESN tensors. Shrinking is very mild.

Can confirm that either Tenergy shrinks or Viscarias grow. I've always found a brand new sheet of T05 to be extra great for about a week, after which it becomes merely great for the next month or two. So probably some factory boost.

I tried an old tenergy 05 from a friend, and it did shrink a bit from when he had it on his blade.  The performance is good considering how much it's used, though... can't say the same for 3 month old ELS (which is an amazing rubber new).

One more specific thing about Rhyzer 48. I checked my schedules and realised that I practiced about 10h and played one tournament with my first Rhyzer (black one) before it was too worn out. So even tough this is the best rubber I have played since sg era, the durability is too low for my wallet.

have people reported on how Rhyzer 48 react to Falco Tempo Long once it is worn out? or chop4ever's booster? are you going to try?

I have never tried any booster and I´m not going to start now. The problem is the topsheet which wears out really quickly. I don´t think that booster can do much about the topsheet or am I wrong? The sponge is still very much alive.

Sure I can try it out. I´m actally using Revolution nro. 3 cleaner which brings the top sheet alive quite nicely. I have allways loved to play with relatively new rubbers so if topsheet loose let say 15% of it´s spin it´s not good enough to me any more. I know that I´m really picky with my gear but since I only practice 3 to 5h / week, I think it´s ok for to be pickySmile.  Ofcource it is also a mental thing. If I can see that my topsheet is really worn out it just starts to feel terrible.Tongue

maybe you should try chop4ever’s topsheet reviver. Since you are a competitive player who tries a lot of rubbers he sure would appreciate your input; and the rest of us of course. I understand you don’t want to start boosting sponge because it’s a mess and there is a learning curve but cleaning the topsheet shouldn’t be too hard :)
Then your data about the following questions will be super valuable:
-does it play about the same after topsheet rejuvenation?
-how many hours of play before another one is needed?
-how many times can we perform it before it’s quitting time?

Thank you. And what is difference of high-throw, and easy topspin to the first heavy chop?

Is it true about very poor durability of rhyzer?

Thank you.

No, rhyzer is very durable. Much more durable than rhyzm p. You are asking more on the technique related stuff not the rubber's

Dear yogi, i am asking what i need to know. You havent responsed to my question.
I had played with rhyzer 48 and 43. Now i ordered the new one. Totally another feel and harder. Very bad control in pasive game. The durabilty in first series was very bad. So i ask for anothers experience.
My new rhyzer 43 has lower high throw than my previous. -output control in joola(esn) is very bad.

To me the durability of the Rhyzer (topsheet) is one of the worst I have ever faced. Similar with Calibra LT sound. Great rubber awfull durability.
