Sorry for my ignorance. I have a question about storing rubber. Unfortunately I can't play everyday like many of you do. After I finish playing, I typically clean the rubbers and put them in my case on the paddle. Is this the proper thing to do or should I take them off of the paddle first? Does it even make a difference?

Only if you're speedgluing do you need to take the rubber off the blade.  That's to keep them from getting permanently stretched as speedglue expands the sponge.

If you don't speedglue you're doing the right thing.  You might also put some plastic protector sheets on the rubber to protect the surface.  If you don't have these, clear plastic report covers are the same material so you can just cut to fit.

I just clean it with regular Butterfly, Stiga, DOnic cleaner and put into a plastic protector and into my case. Cleaning it and all that is just to keep dust and anything else off the rubber.
