Don't know too much about blades for flat hitters but I'd always imagined that the faster stuff is more suited to that style, like a Sardius or Primorac Carbon.

Maybe Stiga Carbonado 90. I haven't played with it, but from what I've read, it is the slowest on Carbonado series (probably Off-, while 190 is Off and 290 is Off+). The 90 (and 190, 290) also seems to have flatter trajectory than 45 (and 145, 245). I reinforce that I haven't played with it, but seems a good contender for what you are looking for.

Stiff carbon blade such as Schlager Carbon. A balsa blade generally has little dwell and low trajectory and probably are good for flat hitters as well. Or, play with whatever blade Mima Ito uses

I had a hit with Achoomai's new blade last night. I just tossed a couple used JP03 on it to give it a try. I can honestly say I've never played with anything better for hitting. Control was excellent, too. It's a fairly fast blade, though.

I have a Donic Ovtcharov Carbospeed and it´s very good for flat hitting. Reminds me BTY Primorac Carbon.

Try and find a Donic Power Carbon. It's OFF not OFF+ and is great for flat hitting with the right rubber. Would be great for flat hitting with Bryce Speed 1.9mm.

A friend of mine is a flat hitter around 2100 level. He swears that Butterfly Power Drive is the best blade for flat hitters. Its not carbon and its hard to find, but he swears by that blade. He's one of the best flat hitters I've played who uses inverted rubber.

Primorac carbon is very good and my main blade. Clipper is also great. Juic Nebula/Power Drive is also worth mentioning. All have different feeling. Depends on what you are used to.

I just saw a Clipper on eBay for a super good price. If no one else bids, you could get it for 45 bucks. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Stiga-Clipper-Wood-Table-Tennis-Blade-with-Xiom-and-SpinLoad-Rubbers/223269397760?hash=item33fbe4a500:g:9fMAAOSwrpJb-1Oy:rk:10:pf:0

Honestly I think anything stiff will work(any of the 7plys, 5+2, thicker 5 plies or even 1ply hinoki...) Hard, soft, different wood, carbon type is all preference...

I always felt Nittaku's Barwell Fleet was good for flat hitting. Hard walnut outers, 9 ply i think, a bit stiff and for me a med-to-low trajectory. Good control and very nice in the short game.
If money is no object, that could be a consideration.

Nexy Calix with Gewo Hype XT Pro 50.0 in 1.9 mm on both sides. Slightly boost if a little bit of topspin needed during hitting.
You will discover the true joy of playing table tennis with the blade instead of the rubber. Your world will never be the same again. I hit heavy under spin chops and pushes so low and fast with so much kick on the table that my opponents frequently ask me if 'that thing' hit their side of the table. they won't even have a chance to see the ball fly past them. Like hitting an edgeball without hitting the edges!!
Dare only to try this combination if you are a true hitter/power driver. Brushing and passive strokes will feel like playing with a defensive blade, which is also true for Calix. True meaning of 'dual impact'

Agreed. However, the 1-ply hinoki blades are supreme at this. That's why so many old style penholders use 1-ply blades. The best 1-ply is the Darker speed 90. It now cost > 200USD. OP will not be disappointed if he chooses this blade.

It depends on how you use the short pimple. If the short pimple have alot of effect and you use it more fore placement, and variation of pace and trying to make it difficult for the opponent i do not think you need so fast and stiff blade. But if you use it for attack and try to kill the ball, especially on the forehand you need a fast blade to be able to kill the ball. This is proably more important with the new ball that is slower. I played with Mazunov a while and the arch was very low which made it more difficult to be safe. You may take this in consideration while chosing a blade. After the mazunov i tried the spirit and timo boll zlc which i think is also fast enough but have a little higher arch in my opinion which made it pretty safe. But i think if you use softer pimples you can use faster, stiffer blades with lower arch, but if you have a harder short pimple you maybe need a softer more bounce blade with more arch.

Boll tricarbon is really good for hitters but the best hitter I know plays for many years with an old 1ply tamaropa.
